OpEdge is an internal Bosch SaaS Dashboard for Machine Operators in Factories

OpEdge: Designing for Machine Operating Interfaces in Manufacturing Factories

Overview

Imagine being a machine operator in a factory. You're working way past your shift everyday because you can't get the damn machine to work properly. Why?

Because the machine is operated by a tablet, and its a nightmare to navigate. You thought you turned on the machine, but turns out there is another button you need to click, but you can't find it because its hidden inside a menu.

Then, the company decides that they need to redesign the tablet interfaces to improve their metadata collection via machines and improve manual and automatic input.

This project focuses on improving metadata collection in factories without making it a nightmare for operators.
